Who we are
BLOOM: An Invitation to Becoming is a resource hub created and operated by Karyn Afari ("BLOOM," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information BLOOM collects, why, where it is kept, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Name: your first name, if you enter it on the Hub welcome or when you create an account.
Account details: your email address and sign-in credentials. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider and are never visible to us.
Agreement records: the date and version of the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy you agreed to, and how you agreed.
Your BLOOM activity: Workbook responses, Quiz answers, progress and results, and Challenge reflections and progress that you choose to enter.
Support requests: the name, email, category, subject and message you send through the Support form, and the page you sent it from.
Device storage and account storage
Signed out: your name, Workbook, Quiz and Challenge progress are stored in your browser's local storage on the device you are using. They are not sent to us. They remain on that device until you clear them, your browser removes them, or you choose to move them into your account.
Anyone who uses the same browser or device may be able to see work stored there. Please avoid saving private reflections on shared devices while signed out.
Signed in: your profile, agreement records, Workbook responses, Quiz attempts and Challenge progress are stored in your BLOOM account so you can return to them from any device. If an account save fails, a temporary copy is kept on your device until it syncs.
Signing in
You can sign in with email and password, or optionally with Google. When you use Google, Google shares your name and email address with BLOOM so we can create or open your account. Google's own privacy policy applies to your Google account.
How we use your information
To let you sign in, save your progress, and return to it across devices.
To greet you by name.
To send account emails you request, such as email confirmation and password reset.
To respond to support requests.
To understand overall participation. The site administrator can see member names, emails, sign-up dates and progress totals in the admin area, but written Workbook answers, Quiz answers and Challenge reflections are not shown there.
Who can access your information
Access rules restrict each member's saved records to that member. Authorized technical administrators and our service providers may access stored information only when reasonably necessary for support, security, legal compliance or system maintenance.
Service providers
Lovable Cloud hosts the website, database and sign-in, and sends account emails.
Google provides optional Google sign-in.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
BLOOM currently uses no advertising trackers, optional analytics or marketing cookies. We use only storage needed for the features you use: your sign-in session and your saved progress. You can remove it at any time by signing out and clearing your browser's site data.
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Emails
BLOOM does not currently send marketing emails through this website. We send only account emails you request. If that changes, marketing emails will be optional and you will be asked separately.
Downloading and deleting your information
Signed-in members can download their information from the Account page.
Members can delete their account from the Account page. After you deliberately request and confirm deletion, your profile, Workbook responses, Quiz attempts, Challenge progress, agreement records and sign-in access are deleted immediately.
We keep member information while your account remains active, or for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service you requested, maintain security, resolve problems or meet applicable obligations.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including access rules and a dedicated sign-in provider. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Age requirement
BLOOM is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Questions and privacy requests
To ask a question or make a privacy request, please use the BLOOM Support page and choose “Privacy or Data Request.”
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, ask members to acknowledge the new version.
